Selection Process
Nominations Process
Members of the public are invited to make nominations for the J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding.  As a membership benefit, Fulbright Association individual and institutional members receive a special invitation to participate in the prize nomination process.
A request for nominations is also sent out on the Fulbright Association e-mail list. If you do not already subscribe to the Association's e-mail list and would like to sign-up, please click here.
Selection Committee
Fulbright Commissions and other international bodies nominate outstanding individuals to serve on the J. William Fulbright Prize International Selection Committee.  The committee is comprised of individuals whose identities remain confidential until the laureate is announced.  The International Selection Committee reviews nominations and makes its selection for the laureate.
Announcement of Laureate
A press release is issued on this web site, distributed to the media, and posted on the Association's e-mail list.
Presentation of Fulbright Prize
The Fulbright Prize is conferred at a special ceremony.
