A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAPTER PRESIDENT
Dear fellow Fulbright Association member:
On behalf of the Chicago Chapter of the Fulbright Association, I would like to welcome you to participate in making the Fulbright experience more relevant and engaging during the years 2008-2009. Our chapter will promote scholars and students voice and choice, engage them in learning activities that will last in their memories, take advantage of their knowledge and international spirit, provide them with real Chicago cultural experiences, and most importantly guarantee that the mission of the Fulbright Association be fully disseminated.
When Fulbright scholars are engaged in their academic pursuits overseas, they are selected on the merit of their professional and scholarly promise. Our chapter association facilitates the enrichment of the Fulbright experience by providing informal involvement in the Chicago community and people outside their official engagement.
The multiple activities and events through the years 2008-2009 of my term are designed to create a synergistic process/network for engaging the international Fulbright visitors, scholars, students, and alumni in entrenching close relationships with the diverse community, political, academic, and social organizations that live together in Chicago. The association would be the catalyst in guiding the Fulbright members to create an environment in which they seek to fulfill their personal and professional experiences.
