WELCOME FROM THE CHAPTER PRESIDENT
As a member of the national Fulbright Association, you are also a member of the Colorado Chapter serving 150 members spread across the state. Each year Colorado is home to about a dozen visiting Fulbright scholars and a similar number of visiting Fulbright teachers. In addition, Colorado universities are host to about 20-25 visiting Fulbright students.
Annually the Colorado Chapter sponsors about nine statewide events, supported by membership dues and the national office, to provide educational and cultural programs for visiting Fulbrighters and Fulbright alumni. This brochure includes this year’s exciting calendar of events. We invite you to participate in these activities to meet other Fulbright alumni, to welcome and support our visiting Fulbrighters, and generally to promote the goal of the Fulbright program to increase international understanding.
In addition to attending some of this year’s events, please consider getting involved in the chapter by:
- serving on the board (elections are held in January)
- helping to organize or host a local chapter event (such as a holiday reception for visiting Fulbrighters in your area)
- providing transportation to events for visiting Fulbrighters
- joining our listserv (if you do not already belong) to facilitate communications
- letting us know what future events might be of particular interest in your area
- providing other support to the chapter using your special talents or expertise

ABOUT THE CHAPTER
The Colorado Chapter is organized locally by Fulbright Association members to provide opportunities, through volunteer service, for continued involvement with the Fulbright program and with other alumni and visiting Fulbright students, teachers, and scholars currently in the U.S.
Chapter and national projects also provide Fulbrighters with an opportunity to build on their Fulbright Experience through public service and to support the Fulbright program so it will be available for future generations of students, teachers, and scholars.
